Palmdale Sag Pond

This Sag Pond is located on the San Andreas fault at Sierra Highway. Its depth averages about 25 feet, except for where it is bottomless. The lake has several different names. A few of them are:


There are also stories of a Loch Ness type monster hiding in the depths of the lake. The monster has been sited on several occasions over the last 100 years. The monster is usually seen as it comes out of the water to fly off to its summer home in Lake Elizabeth.
